Medicine Collection Day

9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
The Metropolitan Milwaukee Sewerage District (MMSD) is planning a Medicine Collection Day on Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
MMSD is holding the event to reduce treatment plant loads, which are not designed to remove medicine from wastewater. The event is for residents of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine and Washington counties. Several collection sites are available for:
- prescription medication
- over-the-counter medication
- ointments
- sprays
- inhalers
- creams
- vials
- pet medications
How to donate
Please keep all medication in the original package or bottle. Cross off your name and address, but do not cover up or remove the name of the medicine.
Please note that MMSD will not accept illegal drugs, biohazardous material, needles/sharps, personal care products, (shampoo, soaps, lotions, sunscreens, etc.) or household hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, oil, gas).
Milwaukee’s drop off site is Miller Lot in Miller Park.
